Who we are.

Neura Defense Systems is a software-first counter-UAS company. Our sensor-agnostic platform fuses data from commercial radar, electro-optical/infrared, RF, and acoustic sensors and uses AI to detect, classify, and prioritize small-drone threats — including fiber-tethered and autonomous FPVs that defeat RF-based detection, and coordinated swarms that defeat one-at-a-time defenses — then cues the operator to act, with a human on the loop. We provide the detection-and-decision layer and integrate with the countermeasures operators already field.

A retired U.S. Air Force Major with prior enlisted Navy service, Paul brings over 20 years of military leadership across aviation maintenance and operational command — including senior roles overseeing high-tempo organizations of up to 800 personnel and multi-billion-dollar mission assets. He applies a systems-driven approach to operational design and scaling, leading day-to-day operations and building the company’s operating architecture and execution framework.

Managed $100M+ capital budgets and engineered a 9,000-mile fiber core network from Miami to New York at Progress Telecom, and invented a Secure Network Interface Card for last-mile grid security. As CTO, John leads the build of the Neurex platform — multi-modal fusion, the decision and audit architecture, and the engineering roadmap that carries the software core onto the company’s hardware tiers.
